iPhone apps after reimage

Hi,

I've installed a number of iPhone apps onto my iPhone via web.
How do I get it re-installed into my iPhone after a format back to factory? I never used iTunes to syinc the applications on my mac. Now everytime I download a app it comes up with I already purchased this app. Is there a different place that keeps track of what you downloaded?
