How to add an UI language?

Hello all,
I have a HTC magic bought in the UK (Vodafone). It is being used in Estonia now by my mother and she wants to have the UI in russian, i.e. all the menus and stuff. But there is no Russian language to select in the settings. I have tried morelocale 2 on the market, but it does not change the general UI language.
So my question is, is there any was i can change the UI completely to russian through flashing, rooting or anything? Thank you.

Facebook upload stuck!

Hi Guys, I'm new here.

I have an HTC Magic. Yesterday I tried to upload a photo to Facebook and it didn't work - I tried twice more and still nothing. I have three "F" icons at the top of my phone which are "ongoing" but I now want to delete and clear them. Is there anyway to cancel/clear these?

If I try opening them, they take me straight to Facebook's notification page. If I hold my finger on them, nothing happens (as it does when deleting other things).

Another New Tattoo Orange user - Gmail issue

I got the tattoo as an upgrade on my Orange contract and have been having some issues. As I don't have a data tariff, and only intend to use the phone though wifi, I deleted the Orange APN settings in the Mobile networks menu to stop the phone trying to connect via the mobile network.

Like many others, I skipped the initial Google setup as I thought I could do this later. I rang orange customer services and they talked me through setting up Googlemail as a pop-3 account. I have also configured my yahoo account and find it pretty easy to switch between the 2 mailboxes.
In the setting menu, I have gone to the Data Synchronization > google and ticked Background Data
Auto-synch
Calendar
Contacts

However the option for Google Mail is unticked. If I try to tick it, it changes back to unticked.

I had a problem where changes made on my computer google calendar would update onto the phone but new entries added to the calendar on the phone would not show up on Google on my PC. I then realized that there were 3 active calendars in the settings. I unitcked “My Calendar” and “Outlook” and only left the googlemail one ticked. This solved this issue.

I have downloaded gtasks and this works very well and syncs with google tasks on my pc.

Having read other threads on this forum I understand, that performing a reset on the device will allow you to reconfigure this. Can anybody confirm if this has actually worked? From the threads I read it seems this failed. Similarly I don’t have a separate you tube application. I have created a bookmark for you tube and view this via the browser. Is there any way to download this app?

first post from a very happy 1 month old tattoo owner

has anybody else noticed any issues with fb status ??

some of my friends have a blank status in the people app but when on the facebook site itself, the same friends have had several status updates which dont seem to have pulled through ?

this only seems to be with some of my contacts - for other contacts i get the status update fine

any info appreciated

I'm fairly new to all of this and I've probably been a bit reckless and dived straight into flashing the ROM on my HTC Hero. I'm on 3 uk and I was running a stock HTC 2.1 ROM which I installed anout 6 months ago. I've not done anything since then but tried to put another rom on yesterday.

After hours of trying ROM Manager without any luck I ended up on the screen where you can wipe cache and load from sdcard etc (sorry don't know wht this screen is called). I loaded a CRONOS ROM CG1.1.0.zip and the latest radio, it all said installed ok for both, but now I've just got CRONOS across the screen flashing , its been doing this for an hour now.

Help - I did do something with Clockwork recovery but I didn't do anything with nandroid back up. Where have I gone wrong?

Ich versuche verzweifelt, auf Google MyPlaces (Meine Orte) zuzugreifen. Habe schon eine Menge gegoogelt, aber nichts gefunden. Hat jemand ein Tutorial oder ein Codebeispiel wie man auf MyPlaces zugreifen kann?Um Missverständnisse zu vermeiden, ich meine nicht meine aktuelle Position, sondern die Starred/Bookmarks in Google Maps innerhalb des Google Accounts!

Hallo Community, habe folgenden Code der leider nicht ganz funktioniert...

Wenn ich die App ( Widget ) installiere, und das Widget auf dem Homescreen angelege und darauftippe passiert nichts...

Wenn ich aber die apk nochmals darüberinstalliere während sich das widget auf dem homescreen befindet und die installation abgeschlossen ist, funktioniert es plötzlich.

ich habe leider echt keine ahnung was da los ist. =)

Favorites only show Javascript

Im creating a favorite for a college of mine on his Tattoo. It works fine when ive just made it, but the day after, when I use the favorite it only shows javascript. But I can always delete the favorite, go and type in the adress again and save it as a new favorite and voila, it works again.

Anyone know what might be causing this?

Hey everyone,

I have a tiny/big problem, depending on your emotional attachment to text messages. I had to force restart my Tattoo yesterday, after it froze and then didn't start yesterday. After that, it turned on, everything appeared fine, my settings were preserved, but ALL my text messages are gone. Now, it gets new messages and everything, but where could they've gone? I mean, I've had those messages since I've had this phone! It's a lot of messages! Could they have just disappeared? Shouldn't they be stored on the SD card? I they are, can I restore them somehow?

I'll appreciate any solutions, or at least an explanation of what happened, so I can avoid losing all of them in the future....

Just got a myTouch 3G off of eBay. Great phone but It will not read my memory card or sim card. Was told there was a problem but not like this.

Phone Details

Can get into fastboot and hboot. It is running android 1.6
Phone will boot up just will not read sim card and keep getting the memory card has been unmounted. Is this a software problem? or a hardware problem? Have had some exp with the myTouch so If anyone can just point me In the right direction. Can It be fixed with It not reading memory card?

Can anyone at least tell me Is this a software problem? or a hardware problem? and can It be fixed via ADB because It won't read a memory card.

I can get Into fastboot usb via ADB. Can anyone tell me If anything can be done? Please Help
